I dunno if you'll ever read this Tom, chances are pretty low, but on the off chance that you do ... I just wanna say a few things. I'm a former soldier, that deployed to Iraq in 2005, that year, i got shot twice, i lost several friends, and a marriage ... i came back and fell into anything that would make me forget about it ... drugs, alcohol, you name it. I damn near died kicking the narcotics, which i did without rehab, because even in the haze of all the bullshit, i could still envision a better life that i wanted for myself ... and just hearing your music, knowing there's someone who struggled like i did, who respect what my friends and i tried to do for this country, and who can see through what our government is trying to do to all of us ... you've earned a life long fan. I don't know what else I can say except "Thank you".

I normally can't stand rap ...but on a road trip with my son, he had this playing while I had my listening choice playing to my earbuds. During a pause in my playlist, I heard Tom's lyrics to 'brainwashed' and popped one earbud out and asked my son who the artist was. He proudly told me and we listened to it all the way home.
