We’ve looked at practicality and luxury, and now it’s time to see which vehicle can really hustle – because, hopefully, these vehicles won’t always be confined to the school run. Time for a hot lap on the track, with Vicki at the wheel.

that last test, it would have been good if you could see all four vehicles doing the same

The elimination process is really weird. If they had done the tests in another order, another car could've won.

Yes, I know from experience that the T8 brakes need a bit of a shove.

your never rude about cars, always fair. makes for interestingly dull viewing.

This is not fair.
The same driver must test both cars.

Good review but the BMW was thrown out on a slightly irrelevant basis. Technically it has the best range and would have likely won on speed and handling. It was right to exclude the Porsche on range. I think the exclusion of the BMW for that particular reason was probably the wrong call given that this was an EV death race.

I can’t believe you got rid of the Porsche and bmw. I think everyone who watched this would have liked to see those two in the performance test.

Well done JP.
At the very end of this video, you confirmed to me and what others think that these tests, done like this, in changeable running orders, are 100% useless.
You said that the best SUV is a big one so the Volvo was the best overall. But the smaller Audi won thus proving that the way you're testing vehicles is definitely _NOT_ the best way.

The last test needed all four really instead of eliminating them you could have used a points system or a pass or fail

I agree with the verdict: large family SUVs are about the practicality and the comfort. If you prepare for a long journey of 2000 miles - you don't care about the acceleration and etc. What you need - enough space, good mpg and the comfort of sitting and driving. I agree, that Volvo XC90 is the number 1 of all the tested cars.

We have a 2010 Q7 TDI. It’s great. We can fit a 70” tv in the box in it. Third row seat. Fuel mileage is low 20s mpg. ❤

Had the Volvo. Horrid with rubbish engine and loads of road noise. Got rid and got the Q7. Loved it. So much better. Quality, ride performance and quiet.

As a diehard Audi fan, when it comes to SUV’s I’d take a Volvo over any of the Germans all day and I did when I got my XC40, I didn’t even consider a German brand.

Very little actually happening in many of these videos. A lot of chat, a lot of clips edited in, but that's about it. D-

honestly ;) the test should be done by one person for both cars...

This isnt the best test only be cause there should have been a standard point for the suvs to start stopping.

What a rubbish test. The BMW & Porsche were eliminated by tests they don't want to be the best at. And then the 2 more practicle vehicles need to do the slalom test? Really: WTF
