Trump's public health picks spark debate over pandemic response

As Donald Trump prepares to return to the White House, his choices for top public health positions are drawing attention and sparking debate over the handling of the coronavirus pandemic. Some prominent doctors, who claim they were censored during the pandemic, are expected to take on significant roles in the new administration.

Rep. Brad Wenstrup, R-Ohio, chairman of the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, said, "You saw a cover-up by China. We saw a cover-up within our government and a cover-up amongst international scientists."

The subcommittee's report concluded that the virus "most likely emerged from a laboratory in Wuhan, China," and criticized the treatment of those who supported this theory.
