I am so happy with this clip. I mentioned this exact same thinking in a S101 clip that provisionists believe in the sufficiency of the Gospel and a brother here was eating his own in being semantic. I believe Christ's life, death, resurrection, the Holy Spirit convictions and the Word of God is sufficient for salvation!

Let me just try to get out in front of one possible objection to what brother Flowers is saying: "So that they _may_ believe..." not "So that they _will_ believe..." he's not saying the gospel will cause a person to believe or that that is its purpose. Therefore the Word is not failing to accomplish God's purpose just because many do not believe.

Praise GOD!! Great Video!! “It is The Power of The Gospel”!! Yes!! - That the Almighty GOD - The Glorious, The Incomparable LORD JESUS CHRIST became Man, went to The Cross and paid the Eternal penalty of our sins, was buried and rose again to give all who believe in HIM - forgiveness and a future and a hope!! The LORD JESUS Shook the world then and HE is still Shaking it!!

Calvinism is so logical! It really is. Unfortunately, its doctrines cannot be found in Scripture unless you twist it and lift parts out of context (reminds me of Mormonism). As one of my college professors pointed out, "If it makes sense to you, it's probably not God."

Check this out. I found a practicing manicesiesm. This is what he said. And he used to be a Calvinist.

". my hope is for Calvinists to come home to Ctesiphon-Seleucia and the doctor from Babel the apostle Mani who is the progenitor of their theology as mediated through Augustine. I am happy to testify to this fact and scholars of Manichaeism like Jason Beduhn in his work "Augustine's Manichaean Dilemma" make no secret of the fact that Augustine appropriates Manichaean themes in his exegesis of the scriptures and especially St. Paul"

Hey professor Flowers,
I am interested in applying for Trinity College College of the Bible and theological Seminary. I want to join a school that teaches against Calvinism. What is trinity’s view of Calvinism?

I think there may be a subtle difference in the message too. In traditional gospel teaching a person is saved by placing their faith in Jesus. On Calvinism, a person cannot place their faith in Jesus unless God first regenerates them, and God regenerates those He has elected from eternity past. Therefore, salvation under the Calvinist system is ultimately a matter of whether you are one of the elect or not rather than whether you believe in Jesus.

The elect is not some secret group of people who God has chosen. God wishes that all be saved (Timothy 2:4), and Jesus died for the sins of the world (1 John 2:2). If God wishes all be saved, then there must be agency, and if Jesus died for the sins of the world, then every person on earth can potentially be saved. The "elect" mentioned in the Bible is simply a device to demonstrate that God's chosen people are no longer Israel, but rather Christians. In fact, in Matthew 24:31 it says the elect will come "from one end of heaven to the other, " suggesting the elect are the Saints in Heaven.

Jesus even said “at least believe because of the miracles you have seen.” Apparently anyone who rejects Him has a choice and it is foolish.

Calvinism is logically incoherent, irrational, untenable, and most of all unbiblical.

Calvinista do what all false teachers do.... minimize the finished work of the crucified Christ for salvation for all who put their trust and faith in Him.

Dr. Flowers, John MacArthur says that Jesus couldn't have died for all people because in this case His Blood would have been shed in vain (for those who didn't believe). How would you respond to that? Maybe, there is a video where you are addressing this issue. Thank you
