I remember growing up in VA Beach 30 years ago and seeing water spouts off the coast in the summer on a few occasions. Never experienced a tornado make landfall.

I was in williamsburg va at the time and I was at Walmart and when I went outside there was a flood, the water went up to my ankles with is about 1 foot tall.
