Don't feel guilty! Like I tell my mom every hobby lobby clearance, God put that yarn there for a reason! Lol.
He saw the sad little yarn ball with no yarn ball frens to be made into something and said "hey I know a few people little homie" 😂

I started looking through offerup and swapmeets for large amounts of yarn from someones storage or someones great aunt who loved to knit/crochet passed away. I just bought 2 bags full of yarn for $40 and i got to choose the colors i wanted. I was in heaven and now i just do project based round the colors i find. Less stress and works for me cause store bought yarn is too expensive!

I went to two locations and managed to spend over 100 at each location and this was with TOTALLY picked over stores. Imagine if I had gone at the beginning.

I only got a couple hanks. And I did get a fair amount of the jumbo, chainette yarn, for a blanket. And I got a TON of the lion brand cording "yarn" too, for home decor projects.

It's nuts how much I got for such a depleted yarn section. Truly.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my 15 year old a couple years ago. She was my longest pet ever.

It took awhile to open my heart again but I now have a boy who is working hard to fill my heart up.

You are hilarious! I feel so bad that your yarn is so expensive there. :( for the same yarn in California.. it's 4.99 but it's often on sale for 3.49. If you ever find yourself on a road trip to the States, definitely shop at our michaels. Are there import taxes if you drive? I wonder how that works.

I have a massive yarn hoard but just started a sweater which I've never done. It needs sport weight and I only have a hoard of worsted and bulky. I found one skein of Sport I like in my hoard and now need 5 or 6 more skeins of it. I plan to go buy another one tomorrow but it's gonna be so expensive

I didn't get a ton of the non yarn things but I did get that super cute block. And a yarn queen sign. A yarn puzzle which I may have also gotten last year (oops). And I got some labels.

I worked at a yarn shop where you could easily spend $50 on one skein of yarn. Nothing like knitting with cashmere! 😍 (Of course you knit really slowly to make it last!)
