I am so happy I found this app. I just sent this video to my parents to get them on the bandwagon. I usually use Google Keep for my writing and lists but this is the best way to put together your own "newspaper" that you can read every day. Very handy for my podcast.

it seems like a read it later email system pretty cool. I wonder if it works just like boxer email but I guess labels are enough to get the job done.

I agree Pocket is great, one of the best features is the Listen, it reads the articles to you. The text-to-speech is a little mechanical at times, but perfect if you find listening easier than reading.

Great summary of the functionality.
Effectively it functions the same way as Google Chrome Synced Bookmarks perhaps with added benefits of offline storage and saving app content.

Otherwise i don't see a huge benefit personally

If, like me, you can't bear the idea of not saving stuff to Evernote there is a simple solution. I use IFTTT to automatically send the basic information (title, URL, tags etc) to Evernote every time I add something to Pocket. That way there is always a searchable record in my central information system ie Evernote. In addition, once I've read it in Pocket, if there is information I need I will WebClip it from there to Evernote.

Hi Steve, Love your videos, thank you. Ahh did I miss the part where you can have Pocket read the article back to yo? I find this very useful when I have time to listen but not necessarily sit down and read. Bob

Steve, thanks for this great utility video!!! I have been using this since couple of years.
I liked your presentation style of this video - pocket website at background and you on foreground with dynamically superimposed videos of pocket mobile app screenshots. If possible can you please tell me which video editing software you used for this? Must be combination of at alteast two.

Steve, check out a Google extension called "Batch Save Pocket". It lets you highlight links on a webpage, push the "Batch Save" button, and a window pops up that with a grid of each article for each link that you highlighted, and let's save them all at once, or you can un-check the ones you know you're not interested in and just save the rest.

For example, I'll go to the NYTimes home page, scroll down to the "Most Emailed" section, highlight the whole section of most emailed, and batch save them. I'll un-check one or two if I know I don't care about it.
