Why should Dangote cut a deal with marketers at the expense of the Nigerian public. The people that need reassurance are the Nigerian people. Rufai you are completely wrong hear. You cannot be talking about transparency, corruption free space and be asking Dangote to settle marketers, NNPC and the rest agencies against the people and the Nation at large. Truly if this government and in particular the President does not publicly speak and fire some of the heads in NNPC and related agencies, then he is behind all these fraudulent and wicked happenings in the Petroleum sector PERIOD.

The problem with us in Nigeria is that we love to talk. You all come on Arise News and join in the conversation and spew all sorts thinking you've done something. Imagine Rufai advising The Dangote Group, lol. What a joke. If this issue mattered to Nigerians that much, why not besiege the offices, and dare I say homes, of your political representatives and demand that certain individuals be removed from office, or at the very least demand transparency? Protesting on social media and elsewhere will not achieve anything. I've said it multiple times, much as I'm a fan of Dangote, he is no saint either. Unlike the others, he has legitimized himself over the years. However, we have to keep in mind that The Dangote Group remains a private organization and should not perpetually receive government benefits. There is enough room for Dangote's refinery plus more. Nigeria is not the only target market.

Very well said, Ayo. A few fat cats must never be petted at the expense of the nation.
That is absolutely unacceptable.
These are mere mortals who are not in any way greater than all of us. If anyone must give way, it is they.

Ayo, you are right. There was a conversation before now. The fact is, Dangote refused to settle the regulatory agency, this is why they wanted to pull Dangote down.

The idea of closed door meetings when it involves Nigerian Government Agencies should not seat well in a democracy with freedom of information acts.

Nigeria issues is not here. Why do they want to keep it off the media?

Obviously the same reason why nnpc hasn't been able to get a big scale refinery built and running for years now

The mentality of some Nigerians are that if they are not getting a piece of the monetary action they will make it difficult for anyone else. That's why you see businesses like Airpeace and Dangote Refinery and even small businesses, will always have problems with Nigerian administrators and officials who will always throw in hudles and obstacles in any large or Small investments in Nigeria and may even go as far as demolishing the business. Nigeria needs patriotic leaders who will clean up that corrupt system.

I don't understand what Ruffai is saying...
Are we encouraging shadiness or should we dismantle the opaqueness in the system?
Put it on the media, put it on air... let's talk about it openly, lets take the opportunity to bring clarity and sanity into the system.

Why are you people not asking where is the candidate of the APC? And why is he not engaging the media?

It shouldn't be a cartel like syndrome. We have to promote competition, not co-operation. This is a free economy, and a capitalist one too. Emmanuel Atuchukwu

They all play the same game but the table just got turn around that's the reason we have all these friction. Most of these people make their monies by taking the crude out of the country and bring it back to sell at a higher price. I am sure a lot of people will also like to get into Cement, Rice, Sugar, Salt and other products.

I will say it again at this junction sell Nigeria to Dangote. AAD should even stop defending himself he should accept that his monopolizing and continue monopolizing, infact he should monopolize every production and business sector in this country

Is anybody talking about how the capability of the regulator (so-called) is strengthened such that, never again will Nigeria find itself in this thoroughly embarrassing situation..?
