Textured skin can also be a sign of damaged skin barrier so tretinoin and glycolic acid would actually make it much worse.

Please always consult a dermatologist before undergoing through any of these

You probably shouldn’t use a retinoid ( tretinoin) and glycolic acid at the same time that would be too irritating (based on dermatologists advice, not mine)

Guys please don't use this unless your skin is a mess.. I mean use these only when you have massive amount of acne bumps and serious condition.. because these type of products can thin out your skin by destroying your top layer of your skin.. I have acne for 4 years and that's what happened to my skin after using too much isotretinoin and other medicines..

Just drink plenty of water and keep your stomach cool.. drink 10-12 glass of water per day.. and use face packs for sensitive skin.. don't scrub your face too much only once a week..

Does it go away it I just exfoliate? And also do I have to use an exfoliater if I am already using a salicylic acid cleanser that does the same thing?

But what is causing that in the first place? Is it an internal issue or something the person is exposed to externally?

Blessed to have skin. Don't want to spoil it in the process of texture

I had rough.skin texture and it was always red. I thought it was dead skin and I over exfoliated my skin. I damaged my skin barrier even more. Now I'm trying to fix it for 1 while year and 70 damage is reversed. Please make sure to consult your dermatologist before using chemical exfoliation and focus on hydration first

damaged skin barrier would be from over exfoliating it's rare that people do that unless they have and ocd. it's a b vitamin deficiency see my other comment
