"You're not going to play in the NBA. Who are we kidding..."

You might not like it, but Charles throws it out there and speaks the truth.

So true. The biggest scam I was ever told in school was that "you can be whatever you want to be!"

Sure you you have to pay the bills.

As a black man in his early 30s, he’s right. I used to be brainwashed. Kids got to get educated

As a guy who grew up in predominantly black schools, Charles is speaking 100% truth here.

Barkley is my role model not because he's a rich successful athlete but because he says truth whether you like it or not

Charles Barkley invented “Facts Don’t Care About Your Feelings”

I am so sick of hearing celebrities saying you can be anything you want to be if you work hard. Pure lies. Be realistic and listen to what Charles is saying.

Charles is real and authentic. He basically cuts through the crap. I respect him for that.

I love it when people, regardless of race, are free from delusion, and speak the truth.

I got cut from my HS basketball team but I seriously believed I was going to play D-1. When they say a teenagers brain isn't fully developed I believe it. I was out of my mind. LOL

And when a man, of any ethnicity, speaks the truth, he is supprted and respected and appreciated. This is what real men do. Please don’t compromise, Mr. Barkley.

I’ve always been a Barkley fan because he’s a realist and just “tells it like it is.” One of my all-time favorites.

Black youth are brainwashed by todays Hip Hop. Be a thug- go to jail- ( hopefully) get out . Write Rymes about it. And become Fiddy Cent . Mercy!

Something so hard to find nowadays.

It's tough to be a Black person in this country who has a firm grasp on reality and common sense, only to be ridiculed and ignored by failed members of your own race for not subscribing to their failed ideas.

The commercial "backfired" on him because as a result, he did become somewhat of a role model. He is honest, realistic, humble, and encouraging. Who does not want to be like that?

I was just arguing with some jackass on IG the other day about this. Black kids in the inner city want to be a rapper or basketball player and when that doesn't work out they become a runner, hustler or drug dealer. It's sad. There are so many black kids with wonderful artistic attributes and others with the brains to be that lawyer or Dr or engineer. So many of these kids are shunned by the bad influencers. They're told they want to be white and they're not true blacks. Some of their own parents tell em this too. That they'll never be anything cuz they're marked since birth. It's terrible. Denzel Washington said it best in an interview. It starts in the home. Mothers and fathers nurturing their children to break free.
