Thanks / cool insight - like the honest break down re end user numbers, type of work, Sean's insights and experience comes across really well, I can relate to that, really good interview and back story, thanks again.

Migration to the old silverlight portal...bet that was fun. Great content, once again, guys. 👍

Great story, thanks. We're going through this proces as well now, and a lot of the stuff he said is so relatable. Like my organization is for example convinced that we need to use Hybrid-join, because they're too worried about going for the cloud immediately because they're used to the old tech and feel safer using GPO instead of CSP for example. Meanwhile we literally have no real valid reason to go hybrid. Pretty hard to convince them as well.

The biggest issue we are seeing with users going to AAD join only with Intune is with certificates. Specially 802.1x certs or S/MIME certs

Really appreciate the content you guys create on this channel, it’s really helping shape our on premise to cloud strategy this year.

What we’re currently hit a road block on is moving our users onto onedrive known folder redirection and off of on premise roaming profiles. We currently use offline files and use of a VPN to sync users documents and app data back to our on premise file server. This isn’t a viable option in the remote world we now live in.

We’re confident that onedrive known folder redirection will greatly help in the backing up of a user’s files, but this won’t cover all of their roaming app data which we’re struggling to source a solution for.

Have you got any advice for reliably backing up of a users app roaming data?

We looked at at Enterprise State Roaming (ESR) but it didn’t seem to backup app data as far as we could tell nor could we see what we gained from it.

Even if you guys don’t have any advice, many thanks for the great content and look forward to future videos! Ben
