OMG, that DSP pairing thing is a godsend! The Fender 55 alone used to kill my DSP, no additional plugins possible! Oh, and maybe someone might find it interesting to hear that the x4 runs without problems with a thunderbolt 3 to 2 adapter on an older MacBook Pro.

Can we plug a guitar in HI-Z 1 and plug at the same time a microphone in channel 1 ? Or maybe can we plug 4 microphones AND 2 Guitars ?

Maybe I missed this, but are the two instrument inputs on the front and the mic inputs on the back all separate inputs?

I HAVE A YAMAHA 12 CHANNEL MIXER AND I WANT TO BUY AN APOLLO X4 INTERFACE. IS IT AN INTELLIGENT DECISION TO CONNECT THE MIXER TO THE INTERFACE? OR THAT WOULD MAKE THE INTERFASE LOSE ITS SOPHISTICATED PROPERTIES?

I have a UAD2 Apollo 8 Quad rack with 4 Unison pres with a Quad Thunderbolt Satellite. Can I use the X4 with my UAD gear?

Does it make sense to connect a Yamaha 12 channel mixer to a Universal Audio Apollo X4 to have more inputs? Are any of the properties of the interface lost with this connection? Or, do the mixer gains the interface properties?

This box is $1800. For that price, they should really be giving us dedicated separate headphone and monitor volume knobs and other useful dedicated controls. One knob interfaces might look nice in a design magazine, but they are terrible for trying to get your work done.

Glad to hear they've put vents in but I'm a bit concerned that it "gets warm". I had to give up on the Arrow because the units kept overheating, producing glitchy and distorted audio, and crashing even with minimal load. Granted, this was during a hot summer, but you shouldn't have to worry about that too much with such expensive hardware.
