HI mate, sorry didn't catch your name? I've been watching your videos tonight and found them very helpfull. I am no longer in academic study but just do physics for fun now, being 58 it's about all I can do, lol. I was wondering if you could help me out on a little problem I'm having. I want to shrink the sun down to 32 mile in diameter and make it 3000 miles away, but I cannot for the life of me remember how to calculate the change in brightness, I'm not sure if the inverse square law would be the one to use here. Is there any chance you could point me in the right direction please?

If young modulus increases by a factor of 2 and cross-sectional area reduces by a factor 3, how force and extension/compression will be affected.

surely the gradient should be ln(A) as this is the gradient function ???
