I've been using a similar Bluetooth receiver with optical out on my desk here at work with the smsl m3 and pro-82s for over a year now. Mine is branded "etekcity" but there are a bunch that look the same on Amazon (taotronics, etc.). Not even Bluetooth 5.0. I set up a test with Bluetooth out of my phone on one input and USB out of the PC on another. Cued the same flac up to exactly the same time so I could switch quickly between inputs and be hearing the same thing. I couldn't really hear any difference between them so I concluded most of the weakness in sound from Bluetooth devices comes from poor DACs. I wonder what you would find with your better equipment/ears.
