I'm an English teacher. A student looked up "toward" in Google and the Google bot pronounces it like "toured" as in "Last summer we toured Europe." I told her it's wrong. She answered, "So Google is wrong?, " I said "One hundred percent. Google got it wrong. It's a bot saying it anyway, not a real person." So to show her, we looked up videos pronouncing "toward" and that's how we got here. Yours is the best. Great explanation.

Thank you. The word in the sentence "so powerful it causes Io’s solid surface to bulge out toward Jupiter" has confused me a lot of time. That's really cool.

Hello! I'm Abdelrahman. From Egypt.
Could you help me pronounce words such as strength - strengthen - length - lengthen? and what is similar to them? plz

er...that vowel isn't a diphthong. Any IPA list will list the diphthongs in US English. The vowel nucleus in the US pronunciation of this word is a rhotacized (r-colored) monophthong or a monophthong transitioning into the retroflex /r/.

(feeling like the phonetic police, today).

Thanks for the informtive video,
lately, i was trying to improve my "TH" sound and i have really hard
time say any sentence has two or more " TH" sound being followed by
each other especially when it comes to this sentence " THese Things" "
.. i have tried to listen to video how native speaker say "this thigs"
it sounds like they pronounce the TH in the word thing as "T" NOT
"TH" "THeseTings"

I HAVE RECORDED MY VOICE THE WAY I SAY IT
it may sounds too slow but believe or not this is the fastest way i could

can you help me with any tips or advice ? ? is it true that the way u say it you remove
the TH sound from the t and it becomes tings instated of things ? and
please tell me how i correct the way i say to sound more natural and
faster, i feel like robot since i have to slow down when i ecounter the th sound in two words
 thank you in advance.

completely wrong, The W isn't silent. Lazy pronunciations cannot justify a change of the correct version. May as well change the whole language.
