We kept trying to put the parcel shelf behind the struts not in front of them

When I fit mine like this, it doesn’t lay flat when the boot is down. I’m sure it used to have black string that held it up. Any help? Thanks.

Please I need help my clip is different from this and the hole on the shelf are too tiny to fit in.

You would think it has to go the other way around, so when its closed and someone at the back seat did put something on it it would not slide around. 😊
