We basically put Latin America dependent and under our thumb. A person stops the bully and then replaces the bully.

My man! Teddy and Gunboat Diplomacy ... kind of what Kennedy did in Bay of Pigs which was a shit show ... thought they could run another PB Success in Cuba ... (different dynamic from Guatemala). The Cuban Missile Crisis is another example of a newer version of Gunboat Diplomacy post WWII (from the perspective of the day and the height of the Cold War). Truth is when you ask Cubans or Venezuelans or Zimbabweans with the hindsight of history if they preferred Bautista or Castro ... they would say Bautista ... Petro-Oligarchy or Chavez ... Pero-Oligarchy ... Mugabe or Ian Smith ... Ian Smith. Socialist and Communist governments will always lead to failed states. Capitalism is about the best form of government albeit with faults (companies with monopolies on the markets need to go). Just another perspective to consider. Good work Mr. Reading through history.
