The Everly Brothers paved the road for The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, and The Rolling Stones. Combining Appalachian country with the all-new rock ‘n’ roll, Phil and Don Everly produced 15 top ten hits in only five years. Driven by their soaring harmonies and propelled by their matching Gibson acoustic guitars, the brother’s influence and success earned them the honor of being among the original ten artists inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. There was no one else like them.

To celebrate their musical legacy, the Gibson Acoustic Custom Shop is proud to announce a special limited-run Everly Brothers SJ-200.

The Everly Brothers SJ-200 features AA flame maple back and sides paired with a thermally aged Sitka spruce top, which is capped with the dual pickguards that the Everly Brothers made famous. This guitar also has essential SJ-200 cosmetic features, such as the classic mother of pearl graduated crown inlays on the rosewood fretboard, as well as a Moustache™ bridge with four-bar mother of pearl inlays. The bridge saddle, nut, and bridge pins are bone, while Gold Grover® Rotomatic® tuners ensure solid tuning stability. An SJ-200 hardshell case is also included.

Definitely a dream guitar from my perspective and certainly for many others, as well. Even if I never can afford one I appreciate knowing that they are out there. Just in case.

I liked the star inlays on the j180. Gibson needs to use them more.

I was at the Knott's Berry Farm show in 1973 when Phil smashed his original EB prototype to pieces in front of 3, 000 fans and walked off the stage. I wrote Gibson but they replied they no longer made that model.

I would love to have this Everly brother guitar!
But let's be real.
As much as I am fan, I am not spending $8, 000.00 .
Wish Gibson would lower the price. But it is limited edition.
I am better off purchasing a Chibson copy of this guitar.
Lol..

Gibson added an extra pickguard for around $3, 000. I would like a J-180, but they are no longer available new.

First off. I’m sure that guitar looks amazing from ten feet away. Even tho it will most likely look like it was buffed it with sandpaper. I’m sure the action at the nut is super high. The neck joint…. I could go on and on….. then you will contact Gibson and tell them you’re dissatisfied. Even better, they won’t do a damn thing about it. QC is terrible but customer service might actually be worse.

Not trying to hate (I am a huge fan of the Everly brothers) but Gibson should to reach out to younger Musicians

They are really beautiful; however, the pickguards are huge, and have to be tone/volume suckers; if you'll listen to recordings in that era, acoustic rhythm guitars are played as almost percussion instruments, with that kind of "matted down" thumpy/clicky tone. These aren't acoustic guitars that will produce the clarity of regular J 200 or better Taylor/Martin high end guitars. I don't think these are any players only or go to guitar. Just sayin

great but I can already see some flaws.
