A few weeks ago my aunt and uncle gave me a box of old cameras which included a Spartus Press Flash Camera that still had a roll of Kodak Verichrome in it, most of which had not been exposed. In this video I head to downtown Hazard, Ky., on a mission to expose the remaining film and see what happens when I develop it.

Some historians in the future are gonna find these pictures and have a real tough time finding their exact time in history.

How fun was this - a look back! I have my Mom's Brownie camera from the late 1930s and treasure it. This is a reminder of how far our gear has come and how wonderful the cameras of days gone by really were. As a kid, I remember getting a stepped-up version (Kodak Instamatic) that had a rotating flashcube, good for 4 shots without replacing. It was high-tech for the day! Who would have thought those school field-trip shots could mean so much?!
