Issay Dobrowen was a Russian-Norwegian composer. This beautiful Elegie (without opus number) weeps and roars with a deep, unmistakably Russian soul.

If only I could play piano like you do, my life might be slightly better and not as dark as it is now. Thank you for giving me some lights in this darkest moments of my life.

Awesome playing. I really enjoyed your Chopin Nocturne op 72 no 1 and this is great as well.

Someone by that name was also an orchestral conductor. He led the orchestra accompanying pianist Solomon (Cutner) in some of his concerto recordings.

I really love that composition and your interpretation! Never heard of Dobrowen before.

I have one question @MX Chan ! you're changing to major key at 02:29, but that's not part of the original compostion, right? Didn't find this on the sheets, but i love it haha. just like some hope for better times is rising during a cold stormy day in a small village in siberia.

Très belle interprétation. Mais quelques différences avec ma partition. C'est très beau.

Issay Dobrowen : his real name is Issaï Barabeichick, a Russian-Jewish composer . Good playing thanks ! ( But I think one can play this piece in a more modern style too ).
