The Sea of Marmara, also known as the Sea of Marmora or the Marmara Sea, and in the context of classical antiquity as the Propontis, is the inland sea, entirely within the borders of Turkey, that connects the Black Sea to the Aegean Sea, thus separating Turkey's Asian and European parts. The Bosphorus strait connects it to the Black Sea and the Dardanelles strait to the Aegean. The former also separates Istanbul into its Asian and European sides. The Sea has an area of 11,350 km² with the greatest depth reaching 1,370 m.

I have been on the Marmara sea in Istanbul recently. The sea is very beautiful! It has turquoise color. I want praise Jehovah God who created everything good and nice: "How many your works are, o Jehovah! You have made all of them in wisdom. The earth is full of what you have made. There is the sea, so great and wide, teeming with countless living things, both small and great. There the ships travel..." (Psalm 104:24-26).
