Just a quick thing - I loved the comics xlr unit but I was on a passion project and it started smoking while it was off. No reason for it to quit on me. We hadn’t even started shooting yet. So maybe that was just mine but I had it for almost a year and then it smelled like burning plastic coming from it. Small warning about quality control. I loved it too. Huge bummer.

Super amazing rig!!!! How much in estimate this costs in total? Btw yesterday night i was watching your videos nonstop hahahaha the reason cus you in particular made me buy the SONY NEX-7 from the video you upload it one year ago, if it weren't for you i wouldn't have purchased that camera and i would've lost a lot more money on a a6000 which for me are basically the same cameras but with a little more upgrades on connectivity and autofocus. Can not thank you enough for that one video, i learnt a lotttt about cameras in this channel and just in general! You definitely deserve more subs and more views cus your content is freaking amazing!!!!.

Good looking rig, but I have a few suggestions: If you use the M50 cage from Smallrig (which fits the EOS M nicely), you can access the battery door... even if you have a dummy battery, you'll need easy access to that door, because you need to be able to access / swap out the SD card (rather often, with ML raw). Also, a monitor for the EOS M unfortunately doesn't make a lot of sense, because only a very small number of the modes work with HDMI, which is rather limiting. I've found that using a LCD loupe / optical viewfinder is a much better option for the EOS M... you lose the touch screen access, but most ML functions can be dealt with from the menu better anyway. And finally, while this is a fun project, rigging the camera like that is just not very practical because of the unreliable nature of Magic Lantern... I still think it's a great learning tool and you can get some impressive results from the camera, but it's just not "production" ready...
