I finally started noticing how many of the original aliens have horror influences and now I know for sure that was intentional.

Ben 10 is also technically the original Gravity Falls.
A boy and his girl relative stay the summer with an older relative who has a mysterious secret life.
Boy finds a mysterious item in the woods that the show centres on, created by an intelligent and unknown being.
The family learn all sorts of mysteries on their journeys both alien and magical, secret organisations, eldritch lore, dimensions and time travel.

The biggest difference is the girl is actually the smart one who’s more invested in ancient and mystical stuff.

People are monsters for their actions, not appearance. Ben saves people. That makes him a hero, despite how he may look when doing it.

I like the Stranger Things vibe Glen wanted do for with Alien Force, but completely disagree with his take that Ben shouldn't be a Hero just because he can become aliens.

That wouldn't mind seeing that timeline where Ben 10 was more Stranger Things. I'm happy with what we got of course but it would be interesting to see if the series would be the same smash hit and keep going or maybe that would have been a death sentance for the show.

Yeah we need the creator to reboot the show adult swim but as a horror show with the horror elements from the original it became horror for those moments 👻
