As a Mexican, I can confirm that those pandas are our national pride.

after research, Mexico has the only two pandas that do not belong to China due to their birth in captivity in the 90s. All the other pandas in the world are "on loan" from China, which makes Mexico is the only country that has pandas along with China.

For anyone who does not understand the map. It shows countries that OWN the panda meaning you saw it at ‘x’ country but they don’t own it, they are just being leased which is a difference.

Unless this video is a lot older than youtube states, if Mexico has had that panda since 1975, that panda is at least 47 years old, 48 if he's had a birthday already this year (2023), older if he wasn't taken there at birth not 33.

Drew either read a very old article or can't do math. If the panda was 33yo it couldn't have been given to Mexico before 1990. To be given in 1975 implies the panda is at least 48 or 49yo depending on the birth month
