In regards to missing tongs, I glued a magnet to mine and a stick them to my shelf. They'll still get lost but I'm sure this will save someones tongs

Some things that helped me. If you are able to, you should 100% breed feeders (fruit flies, crickets, dubias). You have a one time investment then a constant supply. You also have control over them and can make sure they are clean, gut loaded, etc. also, if you have a small collection, keep in mind supplements expire, so buying in bulk may not make sense for a keeper with few animals

I love chewy! I always check prices first there before anywhere else, the 3 day usual shipping is a plus too. I overspent being new, but all of my extra enclosures etc I've just donated to a local reptile rescue. Extra water bowls are a must! So much easier to swap them out so you can work efficiently with your reptiles ❤

For the spagnum moss I really recommend for the price point checking Lee valley, they have compress bricks for like 14$ if you buy 3 and they expand like so much it is incredible! I switch to this one and it's a game changer! They have free shipping in Canada for over 50$ (if I recall right)

The Canadian website seem to have nothing for reptiles tho 😢

Another thing with a misting system is you need to use distilled water. I have ruined misting systems with the calcium build with using treated water.
