It’s just so much harder to overeat when you’re eating real, whole, nutritionally dense, food.

It’s incredible to see calorie comparisons of whole vs processed foods side by side

If y’all think eating at McDonalds is cheaper than meal prep, y’all tripping. Especially because you can eat all that food on the right through out the day vs 1 meal at McDonald’s.

I don’t understand the people saying fast food is cheaper. My family eats more like the food on the right side. We’d love to have fast food sometimes but we can’t afford it. People don’t realize how much money you waste buying fast food versus shopping the sales and cooking at home. I know salmon can be spendy but my husband catches tons of salmon for the price of a fishing license. If you don’t like to fish just wait for chicken to go on sale and stock up. I see it for a dollar and some change a pound sometimes.

Seriously what is the logic of people arguing cooking healthy at home is more expensive than a restaurant?

I’ve been buying healthy food like salmon and veggies for a while and have saved money. Fast food was draining my bank account and leaving me with little left for groceries. Especially with inflation, Im surprised more people aren’t seeing this. A bag of rice and a burger from Wendy’s both cost 5 dollars.

This post purely proves how many people have an education problem in this and not a money problem.

People are missing the point - it’s honestly not even just the cost, it’s the amount of time it takes to prepare the food. Grabbing McDonald’s takes like 5 minutes but cooking a meal can take 30 min to an hour. And if you’re working multiple jobs or have long hours just to get by, you really don’t have the time, let alone the energy, to prepare a healthy meal. It’s not that easy

People be talking about prices for food and not understanding that the one on the left ultimately costs more bcuz its one. Meal.

As a formerly poor child, my family grew up with tortillas and beans. Lunch was frequently iceburg lettuce with lemon. God bless rice and ramen. I grew up on the college on diet.
Mcdonalds was a treat for when we had left over cash, two kids meal divided by four, and while i never realized it then, parents wouldnt get anything.

$200 a month can feed a single person with groceries.
Fast food can quickly get to $600-$1000 in a month, and you’d still be buying groceries to supplement missing meals.

y'all acting like you'll have to pay grocery price multiple times a week. Other than the salmon, and probably the strawberries, everything on the healthy side provides leftovers i.e multiple meals. depending on your area you can get a lot of potatoes for very little. (my local grocery store has a 5lb bag of russet potatoes for $3!!) the soup can easily be over a week supply of food on one grocery bill. of course one meal will be more expensive than one GROCERY BILL, but y'all are acting like 1) eating out isn't also very expensive and 2) y'all never seen a grocery bill. yes, it depends heavily on where you live, but also, if you just test it out, and look at your past expenses for eating out, and put that same amount of money into a grocery bill, you'll see how much food you're truly missing out on by ordering a Big Mac meal at McDonalds.

I don't regret paying for a nutrition consult to fix my diet. I learned a lot and it worked. Lost 9kg now in almost 2 months. All these fad diets don't trump the right diet
