How To Fill A Raised Garden Bed and What I Used - Organic And Easy

Follow me while I fill up my Raised Garden Bed with good Organic Soil. I needed to fill the bed up fast and easy so I used Espoma Organic and Whitney Farms bagged soils, compost, and fertilizers. These Organic companies have amazing products and I am excited to start my fall crops.

Wondering if the bottom half could have been filled with leaves, grass and organic matter to save money? Other Youtubers say the roots only go down about 12 inches or so.
I’m looking to fill 3) 8 foot long by 32 inch high Vego beds as cheaply as possible. The open and dump is easy but looks like it would be expensive. Yours looks great!

Where did you order your Espoma soil?

I have not found any retail locations around me. The best I can find is Fox Farms?

Have you looked into ‘living soils’?
I intend to test the living soil mix vs several popular bagged soils.

I am going to do my first raised bed vegetable and herb garden. I watched your video to see what I should fill my raised box with. I am confused. Why do you use so many different soils? Do I need to buy 2 different organic raised bed mixes and 2 different soil mixes?

Its not organic if you use plastic liner at the bottom of the planter
