If you’re curious like me but doesn’t want to leave yt, walnut table was sold by 4300 usd while the blue one was sold for 3700 usd! I loved both ❤

I think the best form of reflection is the type that you take all criticism with a grain of salt and say, "Hey, you could be right! Let's try it!"

The turquoise fade was an awesome choice. It helps bring out the pattern in the wood, and when you're working with an organic product, you should always try to take advantage of the natural art that's already in the wood.

If I were in the market for a table, I'd have gone for blue. But blue is also my favorite color and you did a spectacular job.

I feel like an intruder posting here, but I really enjoy watching these videos. At 85, I don't have the stamina, the skill, or the room in my garage to undertake anything at all in the woodworking world. I did take woodworking in my Texas high school under a terrific teacher and got an appreciation for the products of our work and imagination. Then, later, as a high school math teacher, I could appreciate the skill of the teachers and what their students produced. I spend a couple of hours or more each day watching, and really enjoy your comments, your trial-and-error methods and always the finished product. Don't worry about the trolls - they're everywhere!
I'm editing this post - I don't know the name that appears at the top of this message, unless that is what the Internet assigned me when I subscribed.

I'll never get tired of walnut. It's such a beautifully coloured wood, a perfect mix of warm and cool undertones.

I have so much respect for you saying “I messed up by doing X, then realized Z is better.” You’re like NONE of the bosses I’ve had.

The blue table with the fade was really cool. Kind of had that 'custom guitar' aesthetic. But that said, I still liked the walnut one even more. Awesome work all around.

Brown. The blue table is actually really cool, but I think it appeals to a smaller group of people. The oil finished walnut look is kind of timeless and can mesh well with a lot of other decor choices. The blue table is basically limited to ultra modern style spaces. Both are awesome though. The blue table is definitely unique!

Brown...and I'm originally from the midwest!!! You're correct about the blue and the coasts. I sold a place I owned in Sausalito a few years ago. When remodeling it, I had four panel solid oak doors installed, custom maple kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities, custom oak fireplace surround and mantel, and oak crown mouldings. Sold the place to a native Californian and first thing he did was paint everything white and painted the walls gray and black!!!! YIKES!

Surprisingly, I think the blue table will sell for more. If you do another colored table, guitar makers often start with a black or charcoal stain first to get the grain patterns to really "pop", then sand it back and use the actual color such as blue, purple, etc.

We recently came across your channel. We are in awe of the quality of your work. Your patience definitely shows in the final product. Everything you design and make is 100%. You've been blessed with a gift.

Brown. Hands down. The reason walnut/wood pieces will always sell for more is they are able to fit a wider array of décor styles and color pallets. Bright blue like in the video is niche. At best. And, much easier to come by for affordable prices at major retailers. You can't get hardwood tables, let alone ones with resin inlays and pours, at Walmart or Lowe's.

That said, I think both pieces turned out beautifully and you really elevated the results with those amazing finishes.

Blue or brown, I can't say which is gonna sell more. However, I'm absolutely thrilled with the path you took with the blue. Sanding after the dye to highlight the grain was an excellent choice and it came out awesome.

Brown - I love the brown one, but also the blue one is really cool. The thing that I love more is your dedication to documenting and commenting the whole process. That's such a tedious work and you're nailing it every single video. I really hope this also is kind of fun for you.

This right here is one of the numerous reasons I watch and subscribe to your channel, Cam. Your humble and subtly humorous approach to things is every bit entertaining as it is a learning point.

As for an ‘average’ woodworker, personally I find above all it’s your attention to detail that truly elevates you well above that category.

Another gem of a video, thank you sir!

The fire and epoxy table is probably one of my most favorite pices of furniture ive ever seen. You knocked it out of the park with that one. Someone is going to be very lucky and happy.

The blue table looks amazing between the two leather chairs... however, I'd assume that average high end customers (not art collectors) would prefer natural wood colors over flashy dyes. It'll be interesting to see the bids 🎉

You picked the perfect wood for the blue dye table, though!

Blue, my dad owned an antique store and said the most unique things always sell for more. I can see that table in some swanky celebrity loft or gallery for sure! I appreciate your humility and sharing of ideas. Hoping to get some shop space soon and get to making some videos of my own. Cheers!
