Im hoping its a plot for the second game or some DLC. Plot would make sense kids get big and the scientists are like "hey there were five of you what happened to the other kid?". The trinket implies whoever it was survived and there's even a hole that looks like it goes under the porch and maybe into the house.

It kinda makes sense, because i remember there bieng a fifth character in grounded, that was a skeleton, and now we found out the fifth character really IS a skeleton. At least the spiders got a yummy meal. 😋
