the old kids meal toys in Harveys (canada) used to be so fun. both f my parents were college educated highschool teachers in math and science, so they always wanted our toys to have a bit of brain in them. we still have mini cards and connect 4, construction bilding blocks, color changing crayola markers, etc that we got from harveys. a mcdonalds and wendys toy might get us enough playtime for one meal at the restauraunt, but we treasured those harveys toys for years. maybe its the little brainiac in me, but i think making my own toy out of cardboard would have been much more engaging than plastic junk wed throw out in 10 years.
