It's crazy how people think there always looking for bugs when they are so smart there actually looking for dead skin they no where the bugs are and they no where to go grooming to find the bugs

Well, apparently the reasoning behind it is that monkeys groom like this because they want to bond, it forms a connection of sorts

When I was younger, and suffered from head lice, I enjoyed the feeling of my sisters looking for lice in my hair, it felt quite relaxing, especially compared to my mom and dad’s aggressive searches with that godforsaken nit comb

Captive monkeys are known to try and convince people to take them away from their current encloser by grooming people outside the enclosure to prove that they are a good monkey and deserve saving.
