This game left such a strong impression on me back in the day. It felt so epic and cinematic compared to its contemporaries. Makes me want to go back and play through Privateer.

I never realized how badass Scorch as a Callsign sounds. Also I know I’m still watching but damn 10 sorties and you are already on the second on the Kill list. You are good. It’s pretty interesting to see this is what Chris Roberts made along with other games before Star Citizen.

There's a bit of dialogue that's been skipped at 21:02 in the video. The dialogue should read, "I want you in a Scimitar-class medium fighter with Blue Devil Squadron". This dialogue applies to all versions of this game.

2:46, on the SNES/NSFC versions of the game, the ranks and last names are not mentioned on the Kill Board, rather, it's just the call signs of the pilots. Moreover, it's not implied in that version of the game that you're Blair, but, rather, you're just a generic pilot. Honestly, I prefer those changes in the SNES/NSFC versions of the game as opposed to the way that things are done on the Windows and MS-DOS versions of the game.

The music of this is pretty good. Where can I get this version of the game? I came from the SNES version and could never get into the audio for the original. This sounds really great, cozy even. Is it available anywhere?

"Scorch" ...Very interesting callsign. Wouldn't be from RING RAIDERS, would it? They *did* have some good ones for the villains (Wraith, Blackjack, Mako, Siren, Cutthroat, Six-Gun).

P.S. When I was playing this game years ago, I didn't have a list of callsigns/pilot names from TOP GUN. So I used a bunch of names taken from THE WARRIORS (Ajax, Cochise, Fox, Cowboy, Rembrandt, Swan, Vermin, Bopper, Moonrunner, Orphan, Punk, and the like).

Hey Scorch, hope you're doing well. c: I downloaded that zip with the already patched wcdx version of the game. It works great! Very playable and smooth, but there's only one problem (if you can call it that lol) but I seem to be invulnerable at all times? I haven't taken a scratch throughout most of the game. I thought I was just really good but turns out I just can't die lol. Is there a way to fix that? Not sure why that's on by default.
