It seems like what cobra have done is make it to where you can change loft and lie without changing face or lie angle. On other single axis loft sleeves if you changed loft you changed other things too. In this if you have a 9 degree and loft it down 2 you can play a true 7. Not a 7 at 3 degrees open. I think that’s huge and will elevate cobra. Especially for tinkerers such as myself. In this situation, if you don’t like it don’t mess with it. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

I personally love that you can loft the driver down *without* changing the angle of the face.

Would recommend going to watch the Golf Monthly review of these drivers if you want to actually understand why they made this technology! The ability to change loft and lie without changing face angle is massive, but Rick has surprisingly overlooked that.

i genuinely think this is by far THE COOLEST thing a manufacturer has done, like 10k is cool and all but you clearly lose distance in some scenarios, and i truthfully think this innovation is very intriguing for any gamer.

I LOVE the idea of this loft sleeve. This is exactly what I've been complaining about with loft sleeves. There's no reason you shouldnt be able to adjust both loft and lie independently

For the first time, I 100% disagree with you.
Adaptive.
Over time.
Meaning: you can keep the same driver for years and it will be able to adjust to the golfer as the golfer changes.

Saying cobra is too expense yet being $100 cheaper than the titleist GT line up and still $50 less than everyone else next year is absurd.

Being able to isolate the loft and lie settings is a win. Most adjustable hosels force you into an unwanted lie adjustment even though you might only way to adjust the loft.

I don't think you need to be consistent to have this sleeve. I THINK IT IS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! For someone who likes to have a driver at 9° and go up in loft with an open face this is wonderful. Something Ian Fraser (Club Champion) said that was that because they could dial in the driver to EXACTLY what he wanted he could LET LOOSE, and gain more speed. This is what I think Cobra is wanting. It is not often I totally disagree with you, but I definitely do with this.

I work in the golf industry and believe me when I say that I’ve seen the RRP for the TM Qi35, Callaway Elyte & Ping G440 and this Cobra DS-Adapt being £469 is a great price compared to them…

As a fitter I'm really looking forward to dialling these in for customers. I'm sure that there will be some golfers who might get lost in this many options. Get fit properly then leave it where it is. 😁

Would be interesting to do a video where you get fit by a fitter who understands the system. If you hit this well in neutral settings, then what actual gains could they get you?

Club champion says it will change the face of golf going forward. Rick not interested in that. This review just shows how little Rick knows. It’s quite embarrassing to be honest.

Find it harsh you say you ‘hate’ the loft sleeve without throughly testing it yet?! They seem to be pushing the boundaries of innovation at the moment instead of standing still, I think if you read and understand the manual you could seriously dial in your driver with this sleeve, and looking at Taylormade new driver it seems they’ve definitely copied last years Cobra, hats off to Cobra for trying something new rather than a new paint job 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 put it to the test first Rick before bashing it.

I don't think I'd ever hear that giving the consumer more options for custome fitting is a bad thing.
Personally I don't play cobra, but it's great.

More options to ensure that we are fitted correctly it Great.

Never thought I'd see rick say everybody is stupid and can't follow a simple set of instructions.

Is anyone else listening to Rick and thinking "it really doesn't sound that complicated"?

We all know our shot shapes. We can all go to a range and dial in the flight we want to see. Just don't be a nob and try to change it on the course every time your swing is off and I don't see why it's an issue.

Agree there is too many options but being able to adjust loft and lie without changing the face angle is a gamechanger

The sleeve isn't for the player. It's for the fitter. Ideally you shouldn't need to ever change your settings.
