It’s sad to hear about her current situation. Quick explanation, there is a video of Charlotte whipping her horse 24 times in the span of a minute. She has been disqualified from the 2024 Paris Olympics, and is under investigations. This whole situation is disgusting, and there is no way to justify her actions. I’m glad this situation is being brought to light, better late then never.

I'm here to clear things up and help the ones who don't know

Charlotte stated that a video of her abusing a horse was dug up from "4 years ago." In this video she whipped a horse at its legs over and over until the video cut off. For everyone's information, the video was not from 4 years ago. Charlotte made up an excuse and apologized. Yet, right after Charlotte was caught, she backed down from "important" Olympic stuff. In other words, she attempted to make everyone feel sorry for her.
Continuing this story, Charlotte then went on to back her excuse. Lemieux, the most famous tack company in the equestrian world, took this abuser's side. Yes, she did apologize but no one forgave the other abusers so why should we forgive her? Abuse is very common in the Olympics, sadly. Two riders were found abusing a horse very shortly after Charlotte was caught. That's how likely it is. Once again, this lady should not be forgiven if the others weren't. She traumatized a horse, matter a fact it wasn't her's. It was someone else's. Which honestly makes this case more pathetic than it already is.

Charlotte may have hyper flexed the neck. Yet, the whole dressage industry does the same. In case you are unsure what hyper flexing is, it is where the rider holds the reins so tight to the fact that the horses nose is touching/almost touching the chest. The reason it is so bad is because it disables the breathing since their oxygen cord is directly at the bend. It's very, very ugly.

There is so much more to Charlotte than many people think.
Also, if Charlotte was so comfortable abusing a horse in front of a camera, just imagine what she does off the camera.

Some people have begun to say that the horse was perfectly fine because horses have thick skin.
Well, that is 100% false
Horses have very thin skin, they may be big and all but they are sensitive. A crop may not hurt you but it can hurt a horse. Spurs may not hurt you but it can hurt a horse.
Horses have very thin skin. It's basic horse anatomy. That is also why spurs are marked as abusive. It's because if spurs are used wrong, they are painful. The horse in the video was definitely in pain. The sounds of the whip were painful to hear and watching Charlotte beat the poor thing was even worse.

If you think about backing Charlotte, change your mind because she doesn't deserve it. Just like that horse didn't deserve her.

Adding onto this because I've found out a little more

Charlotte whipped the horse more than 24 times. During the video the individual recording was giggling. Which is seriously sad. Watching a horse in pain and you decide to laugh?
Honestly, Charlotte has probably abused so many more times than just this. An example is, a couple months ago Charlotte had ridden a 4 year old. In this video she wasn't exactly abusing as bad as the recent recording but her hands were flying everywhere and she was once again hyper flexing the neck. Plus, a 4 year old is not prepared for perfect dressage physically nor mentally.

It's a great thing that Valegro retired when he did. I'm not sure if he was abused by Charlotte aswell but it probably happened at least once given the fact that this woman was so comfortable in front of a camera.
Dressage over the past 10 years has done nothing but go downhill from where it was at. Once again, very pathetic and sad. Although, it's not just dressage that is going downhill quickly. Eventing/show jumping riders have also been caught abusing their beloved horses. Speaking of which, one of the riders that were caught days after Charlotte was, were actually part of show jumping. They were caught hyper flexing the neck.
I'm going to continue to research about Charlotte Dujardin.
