KIA Niro electric First Look! - NEW e-Niro Niro EV Revealed

One of the UK’s best-selling electric cars has been given a new look. The all-new Kia e-Niro, now called the Kia Niro EV, has finally been unveiled.

Ginny takes an exclusive look at some of the details that have now been revealed.

Tow bar section (6:18), you probably mean a towing capacity, not a charging capacity...

Also, at 8:55 I suspect the green zone drive mode turns off the petrol engine in urban areas, not the electric motor?

I’m in a group that loves the look of the car, especially with the 18” alloys and red blade on the c-pillar makes it look like the Habaniro concept!

At least with the eNiro the stated range was much more 'realistic' than a lot of other EV's. So - it might not claim 300+ miles, but I bet it gets closer to the 300 miles than many cars that claim 300+ miles.

Does it have the blind spot cameras that display in the gauge cluster when the turn signals are on?

Does it have an open space in the front where the transmission tunnel were or is it closed? The ev6 is completley open there and the lodis e-Niro had a little open area but what about the new

I think the car looks great inside and out this is really a stylish car with a little more roominess in such a modern comfortable look on the inside the charging is a little slow and the front position charger seems not so cool but nothing's perfect overall this is a 9 out of 10 love it 👍👍👍👍👍

I really like it, but why put the charge port in a supposedly sacrificial part of the car (the bumper) where it is more likely to get damaged in a fender bender or bumped while street parked? Higher up on the hood (bonnet), a quarter panel, or fender (wing) just seems like better placement for something that if compromised would leave it unable to charge.

I'm really feeling the simplicity of the electric designs. Looks light outside and inside. And not just looks it's actually lighter because all the shenanigans of fuel cars aren't there

For better or worse the older model was more anonymous in the looks department. This refresh is certainly more distinctive. I like it.

Good review, however, at 9 minutes, how is switching off the electric motor, green, in designated urban areas? Did you mean switch off the petrol engine?

Thanks for this quick review, will be interesting to see a video where you get to drive it...As an e-Niro owner here in France since March 2019....one of the first off the boat I can say we still love this car after 3 years with it.. Apart from a passenger wing mirror that stopped folding back on locking last year (replaced under warranty) the car has been faultless in 58, 000 km. I’ve grown to like the snub-nosed shape of the ‘old’ Niro but I do like the front of the new one, though I couldn’t live with that different coloured C-pillar...which I think is an option. Ours was a retirement present to ourselves so doubt will ever buy another new car but having got one of the first it is interesting to see how in spite of newer competitors the e-Niro is still a top seller.

Wasn't sure at first but went to the Kia Electric Experience event at my local dealer to see it and was very impressed with it in the metal. Have now got one ordered and looking forward to its arrival.
