Anything that is moving has energy in its kinetic energy store. The faster an object moves the more energy is transferred into its kinetic energy store.

If the object slows down, energy is then transferred away from its kinetic energy store to another store.

The kinetic energy of an object depends on the object’s mass and speed.
So the faster the object is travelling, and the greater its mass, the more energy will be stored in the object's kinetic energy store.

The formula for an object’s kinetic energy is kinetic energy = 0.5 x mass x speed2

We aim for you to get 100% in your exam by revising and learning with KayScience.

There is no kinetic energy in a moving mass there is force Mv squared kinetic energy is the energy of consistent work from a consistent force regards Graham Flowers
