Failure configuring windows updates reverting changes screen stuck fix

Ok. the same thing happened next day too. Solution :
I forgot to disable it's automatic windows update so the computer downloaded updates and installed again.
failure to ..... appeared again in safe mode for couple of time but did go to safe mode eventually.
so , after doing all those above steps , click on
start button,
press enter
double click on windows update
now on startup type , change automatic to disabled.
then click ok to confirm .
Then restart your computer .

Had this issue for a week now and i found a REAL SOLUTION!!! I took my laptop to the back yard, shot it with my .38, went to best buy and bought a mac book. No issues since! Let me know how it works for you guys

Had to leave computer running over night just to get into safe mode but did eventually go. Followed all steps including description and for now it's worked! Thanks man. Gonna make sure windows update can never run again.

It worked more or less. I was at the stage of manually uninstalling updates until it no longer wanted to uninstall them. Weird. So I turned it on in normal mode and it worked. Now I'm restoring the last restore point.

My problem occurred because I was installing the updates and the power went out. My laptop's battery was dead so it turned off immediately.

This is what happened before this happened: while you shutting down your computer, you got an update but after the update installed, there are 3 stages which the third stage you got stuck and I'm just gonna wait for about 4 hours and it's still the same. That's what happened before this happened.

Jesus bro ur a life saver! Funny thing is I downloaded those updates looking for the patch due recent spates of ransomware only to be locked out by windows himself and after days o sweating without anything useful from ms site u breeze through it so simple.

Jpt Man, this is an old post . . but I will have to say many thanks! . . My work laptop was stuck at Windows Updates at 35% for both normal & safe modes . . I had to rewind to catch you saying while booting up in safe mode to just wait for it to respond and it did . . Got it back up (Windows 7 Prof Edition) and running all thanks to you documenting these procedures . . . Sad that Microsoft themselves can't document these tutorials on YouTube! . . I wanna share my story, when I entered safe mode, that text pop up again. Then I just turn it off again then log in normal mode. It works as usual 😂. I go to settings then turn off automatic update
