I recently graduated. Class of 2024. They played this song "Roar, Lion, Roar!" at the very end of the class day ceremony. Despite some difficulties along the way, my time at Columbia University I think was life changing. Congratulations to everyone who got accepted.

Congratulations to everyone that got accepted into Columbia. I was accepted, but I cannot attend it because insufficient financial aid was offered to me as a transfer to the School of General Studies :( . Now I am looking at top public schools. Based on my financial aid, I calculated that I would have to get in debt for $150, 000 (without the interest) for only 2.5 years of study for just an undergraduate. My family does not have the resources, nor do I. Meanwhile, a local public university offers to pay my entire tuition. As I am planning to go to Law School, I decided it's not worth going into debt for $150k for an undergraduate at Columbia based on the information from the Department of Education College Scorecard. I wish more financial aid was offered to the School of General Studies students.
