A tent swag hybrid for those who want the best of both worlds, the very unique RS-1 from Oztent combines their celebrated 30 second frame with the sleeping space of a swag.

Made from the brand’s new ModCan material, this swag is tough, waterproof, and fire retardant so it can stand up to the rigours of the harsh Australian environment. With an awning for extra shade at the campsite, an integrated removable mattress for comfort, and no-see-um mesh vents and entry to keep out the insects – this swag has all the luxurious elements you could want.

If you’ve been super curious about the RS-1, we got our gear expert Ben to take one out for spin recently, so we could show you all of the cool internal and external features.

If you want to see all the finer details of this shelter, then just hit that play button for the full run down of the RS-1.

Aw, it's sweet! It looks like a wee Baker Tent. Why all the negativity? I follow YTers who camp in tents more cramped than this, w. less ventilation _or_ style. I'm claustrophobic, so it'd be like a coffin to me, but given at 2 years on, it's all 5 star reviews, & still apparently worth stocking at at $430, I'm gonna guess this odd little beastie eventually found its niche.

I like your hair. Underneath that awning is a fantastic space. Obviously you would require the bottom sheet to exploit it and that would be a few bucks extra. But it would fell great as a home away from homes. Pick a bad site and be the best house in the worst street. I like the angle of the roof. I recommend it for a bachelor at a big house party with a yard.

Hi there, Love this "Swag", and in combination with a stretcher (to overcome the thin mattress), this should be my kind of setup. However I've been reading a lot of reviews, and a lot of people are complaining about a large amount of condensation building up during cold nights, which is a worry to me. I've been told that (by OZtent) the series 2 will have additional window vents which would help the reduce the condensation. What are the experiences other people have with this condensation issue ?

Ahhh no i'll pass on that product but good review. Perhaps a view of it packed up would be good too.

Haha let's call it a swag, because calling it an extremely small tent that packs up really large doesn't sound as good!

If you're gonna call it a swag you really have to be able to keep all bedding in there when packed up. I'd lean towards an RV-1 tent rather than this, each to their own though.

Great video; but I really think Oz Tent messed this up. Really can't see who would use this. Really thin mattress, massive pack up. Just don't understand why they didn't just design a more regular swag.

It's like the worst of both worlds..complexity of a tent without the headroom. Heavy, but doesn't have the comfort of a good swag mattress .

2018; and industry is still making toxic tents! The industrial psychosis maintains its grip!
