In Marvel Studios’ new series 'Secret Invasion,' set in the present day MCU, Nick Fury learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. When you pointed out Fury eating in the kitchens, I was struck by the old adage "An army travels on it's stomach". Could be an interesting character trait, like soldiers who sleep at any given opportunity.

All of the interim people that Gravik transforms into in Moscow Square were people that Fury saw on his "walk" before Falsworth "renditioned" him.

well that line makes a lot more sense after episode 2. And actually packs a lot more punch now, because that means Fury was SO close with Maria to the point she even knew his biggest secret.

as Fury was following that little girl who ended up being Gravik everyone they turned into was from earlier.. the man in the pub, the woman kissing the man on the river, etc.. meaning Gravik has been watching Fury directly the entire time.

Also the question is was Maria accusing him of killing her or trying to tell him that there is someone who looks like him now. Also Gaia still delivered the bombs even though they were decoys really so not sure whose side she really is on.

This is def going to be a slow burn the whole time which im here for but if y'all don't like that genre in general then you may not like it overall

The first episode was like ok, let's see where you're going with this.

The second episode is like ok, this could be their Andor, and I'm here for it.

I liked it. I like the idea of it being about Nick Fury's back story that is slowly revealed.

And that's the thing about spy movies and shows. It's a slow burn of calculated plot devices. It's going to be a lot of talking and setting up character development and other scenes. It requires your full attention to build up to a crescendo of action. You get rewarded, but you gotta have patience. I thought it was a fantastic episode. It didn't give away too much, but having Maria die like that lets you know the stakes are so much higher now.

This series is so refreshing for the MCU. I LOVE the espionage elements.
