Dr Sanjay Chaudhary is one of the pioneers of ICL technology in India and has been implanting ICL’s for more than 12 years.

He is the highest volume ICL surgeon of Delhi.He has been awarded with “Highest Number of ICL Implanted in World” for year 2014 (World ICL Meet, London) and 2015 (World ICL Meet, Barcelona) and has demonstrated LIVE ICL surgeries at several conferences. He is a regular participant at all ICL International users meet and has made several presentations in these international conferences.

With over 30 years of experience in ophthalmology, he has been at the forefront of surgical and technological innovations in eye care. He was among the pioneers of LASIK in Delhi. He was also one of the pioneers of Stitchless Cataract surgery in Delhi. He is one of the pioneers of ICL (Implantable Collamer lens) technology for vision correction in India. He was the first to start Femto-second laser assisted cataract surgery (FLACS) in Delhi. He gave the first live surgical demonstration of Femto-second laser cataract surgery in India, an event which was viewed by more than 3000 eye specialists from around the world. He has performed several live surgeries at various conferences.

He has delivered presentations on Phaco and refractive surgery at regional, national and international conferences and has also been a faculty and chairperson at such conferences.

Based on the fact that ICL is 100% reversible, I can’t see any reason why someone would choose LASIK or PRK. Are there any important considerations which make the latter superior to the former? It would seem that ICL given enough traction, PRK and LASIK procedures would be phased out.
