The Maxx's design swings between being 'awesome' and 'batshit insane', which is something I really appreciate about Sam Kieth's grotesque artstyle.

For *years* I had faint, weird memories of the MTV show that I watched as a little kid. The scene with him dangling off the edge of the mountain over a sea of the Isz stuck with me so much. But I had no idea what the show was called, or that there was even a comic. I love this story and I really love this animation tribute.

We were spoiled in the 90s when it came to animation options. We had Gundam, Trigun, Batman TAS, outlaw Star, YuYuHakusho, Yugioh, Digimon seasons 1-3, X-men TAS, invader Zim, Dragon ball AND DBZ, etc. We lived in such a great time for animated shows we just didn’t see it.

OH MY GOD THIS LOOKS AMAZING! The Maxx is one of the most unique comics with one of the most WEIRDEST yet pretty grounded and “realistic” story ideas for a superhero. So much to unpack with this one and you’ve made it into what can be deemed/shown as a modern day adaption of the comics.

Loved the colors, loved the animation, and loved the DETAIL going into this with it’s very blatant art-style completely based on the comics. Everything looks beautifully well done with amazing lighting and you’ve definitely got a artistic flair and SKILL in making something like this, even if it is just for a second.

This reminds me of the high quality & low quality animation of anime animators and I hope you do well in whatever you decide to endeavor in because it should be taken to your advantage as much as possible.
