I am sorry you are experiencing a lag. It is the first time we are hearing of this type of issue with the camera. It is possible you have a defective unit. I would recommend contacting Panasonic about the issue and see if their technical support agents have heard of this. - Yossi

No, the adapters available to connect an EOS lens to this camera will not allow any electronic information to be communicated between the camera and lens. The adapter is a manual use adapter, requiring that one meter their situations manually and manually adjust the aperture and focus on the lens. The IS feature in cameras will not work. - Yossi

I have a question! :) I shoot rather close up video for, I guess you could say, small actors. I am absolutely sold on this camera, but I'm clueless when it comes to lenses. What lens would be best for close up video?

Hello, the best lens for close up video and macro for the Panasonic GH3 would be either the Panasonic Leica DG Macro-Elmarit 45mm f/2.8 ASPH. MEGA O.I.S. Lens or the Olympus M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 60mm f/2.8 Macro Lens. Thanks, Matt C.

if a canon lens has image stabilization, can the gh3 utilize it with the adapter?

The MTF Services Ltd Nikon G to Micro Four Thirds Adapter, B&H # MTNIKGM43, and the Dot Line Micro Four Thirds Adapter for Nikon G Lenses, B&H # DODL0831, would be the two adapters we carry that have aperture control which allows you to adjust the aperture on Nikon G series lenses that do not have aperture rings.

Panasonic has improved the video performance of the GH3 enormously: Seamless File Generation, 40%, 48%, 80% Slow Motion Full HD Video, AF and AE modes, and modes for timecode. Its specifications match those of many professional video cameras. Tough to find another camera at this price that shoots stills and video as well as the GH3.

Being basically sexist when it comes to reviews of mechanical things, I was impressed with this womans knowledge and presentation of this camera. At no point did I shake my head and think why is she presenting this? It wasnt until the end I realised that I had just watched a woman talk about cameras and didn't find myself thinking they should have had a guy do it....great job.

We did not shoot the review video with a GH3. The GH3 does offer manual focus though.
