Hey hey. Just wanted to say thank you for creating this video. Three of my hallway doors had the same problem. I was hoping that I could share a picture of what I bought at home depot. But I took a pic of the item number. ICB458. It's just a piece of baseboard corner trim. It has a little ornate cut at the top but I'll be damned the body of the piece of wood was the exact size you need. Bought some gorilla glue and 1 1/2 inch wood screws. Fit perfectly and an hour later I was drilling the hole for the pivot. Better than when they were new. Thank you!

I DID IT!!! 68YO Nannie fixed the dad-gum thang! Kept falling off the bottom hinge. Ripped the 2x4 and have it clamped now waiting for the wood glue to dry. Used finishing nails from the inside to hold in place instead of screws. Thanks so much!! I <3 your videos. Lots more work to do on this old 1975 double wide.

Good stuff I was about to go to Lowes and buy a new door. I was worried that it might be hard to get old wood out but a flathead and hammer did the trick.

You've provided a very useful and clear set of instructions. One question though. You mention using a 1 3/16 in. rib. I measured the exact distance between the front and back panels of the bifold door that I want to repair, and it's 7/8 in., so I assume you mean that 1 3/16 is the the height of the piece. I've phoned all over my local area, and no one seems to have something that's 7/8 in. thick. Can you suggest a particular type of supplier and the right term to use to try to find these wooden ribs?
