Nope, you missed the point!!! that lowering of his voice was on purpose and his intention was for people to see and hear that he can operate in different when needed in different tones. He has a gift that thise of us who studies classical music and do understands the intriquences it embodies do appreciate.

Check out William, "Bangkok voice coach". Like Malakai, he was a boy soprano who latet recorded this song for EMI. William's reaction clarified a lot for me because I felt that Malakai was of his game at the beginning of the song. This voice coach has helped me appreciate Malakai's performance. Incidentally, he has reacted to several of Malakai's performances. I think you will find William insightful

Malakai crushed that performance with zero mistakes. the insertion of his speaking voice is part of the song performance. Try listening to the same song performed by other artists and you will better understand how well Malakai did.

All I can say is the result of BGT was embarrassing, there was a lot of booing in the audience both at the result and when Malakai did not even make the top 3. r Malakai is already a Star in classical music circles. You should check out his Royal Albert Hall Performances from last year in front of an audience of 5000. I echo the other comments, to understand the almost perfect performance view "William Bangkok voice coach.

I don't think he was nervous. In all the videos he has complete control. He did have a bad start with a few weak lower notes, but the rest of the song was strong and right on pitch. He never slides into the high notes but hits them right on the head. And like Joan Sutherland, my favorite opera singer, his high notes like that final HIGH B was just as open as the lower notes. What a talent God has given him.
