Microsoft Lumia 950XL vs Samsung Galaxy S6 in a full epic speed and camera test comparison.

The Microsoft Lumia 950 XL is a large and powerful smartphone powered by the Windows 10 Phone OS. It stands out with its 5.7-inch, OLED display packing 1440 by 2560 pixels. Inside it ticks Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 810 SoC which has been liquid-cooled to facilitate heat dissipation. And the camera is one worth being excited about – a 20MP sensor with OIS and a tripple LED flash is found at the back. The latter uses three LEDs to produce more natural colors. Further specs include 32GB of on-board storage, a microSD card slot, a 3440mAh battery that can last through 19h of talk time. The USB Type-C port at the bottom is a welcome bonus.

Cameras are stellar on the Lumia. Like always.

You should have compared all the running apps. I noticed multitasking is a very strong part of the W10M.

Most old apps designed for WP8.1 will run slow because they were written in Silverlight which isn't perfectly supported in new Windows 10 Mobile. You may say "whatever the reason, what matters is how fast apps actually are" and that's true, but what I mean is, wait a few months for devs to update their apps and see how much better the Lumia 950 will perform. Also, let's hope that Microsoft speeds W10Mobile's animations up, because, as of now, the OS does feel slow compared to Android and iOS, which is a shame because it actually is a very lightweight system (as demonstrated by PC version). No idea why it's so slow to boot up, that really puzzles me.

I think that the apps are not optimized for w 10 and the software will be very fast when it will be complete! Wow.... it is a pitty for the quality of the apps...

the lumia use animation when open app, galaxy s6 no, , so u will clearly see it open quickly, anyway win10 still WIP

I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY MICROSOFT DEVELOP APPS FOR ANDROID AND IOS LIKE OFFICE AND CORTANA. THEY IGNORE WINDOWS MOBILE.

The thing is most of the difference is due to the opening animations. As you can see, the animation on lumia takes longer, but both are opening apps in an instant.

THOSE WINDOWS APPS ARE FOR 8.1, SO THEY ARE A LITTLE BIT SLOWER. BUT NEW APPS LIKE FACEBOOK AND FILE EXPLORER ARE FAST.TEMPLE RUN IS FOR 8.1.

I would like to tell one thing, i am extensive user of lumia smartphones, i recently ditched my lumia 1520 for samsung galaxy s6 edge plus, since microsoft is taking a lot of time to produce 950xl. I own lumia 1520 for more than a year, i dont feel any lag in OS, i used to have lots of apps, but didnt see any lag in OS. But, its been just 2 months, i started to see my galaxy edge plus lag so often, i even get frustration of trowing it away or breaking it....

hey my dude. if you know the windows phone is slower than the Galaxy phone, why have a speed test? would it be obvious which one is faster from the get go?
