New Google 'Waymo' Company for Self Driving Cars!

Google is turning their self driving car unit into it's own company called "Waymo!"

The Google self-driving car project has been going on for several years, and they've made great progress. Last year in Austin Texas, Google did the first test of a fully autonomous car on public roads, with a blind man riding in it. The Google self driving car had no steering wheel or pedals at all. Now, Google Waymo will be an independent company under the Alphabet umbrella company to develop self driving car technology. They don't necessarily plan to sell the cars themselves, but rather license the software to other auto manufacturers.
