Hands down the coolest car in '83. The Audi Quattro.

Ahh the '80, when you had to specify east or west Germany.

I had the non turbo version in England and it was a stunner of a car, also you could not throw it off the road no matter how hard you drove it.
Super comfortable too and boy did it sound my wife took it out I always waved her goodbye just to hear it pull away.
Loo up the "group B" rally versions, mental.

These were legend. And still are.
Put the Turbo Inline 5 in the spot light.
And shown what proper awd system are need to be.
Way ahead of its time. And still actually better than most today.

My father had one. It was Zermat Silver. First turbo car I ever drove. Freaking blast!!

$33, 000 for a modest daily driver kind of vehicle in 1983 sounds really high. Over achievement is the name of the game for German engineering.

very aprecciated classic in europe the audi quattro. 5 cilinder 200+ hp, some people tune this engine to 1.000+ hp, the 5 cilinder was also used in the audi quattro rally series * group B *. good ones now are well above 50.000 €

One of my all time favorites! I owned an '84 Coupe GT in the same Tornado Red color and added the ring decals to the doors.
