I remember playing this game for weeks and weeks to bank a million dollars to unlock the 'ending'. Which was just a 10 second cutscene that was barely different than the rest of the cutscenes. I remember being so pissed off that I never pick up the game again.

I used to really like this game when I was young. For some reason Grandpa's car was my favourite, I always played as him.

Around 00:04 and 02:41, when Homer runs over the baseball mascot, Flandrew states that it is the Springfield mascot, when in actual fact the Goofball is the mascot of Capital City. I mean, what are we to believe, that this is a magic mascot, or something? Ha ha, boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder!

4:37 There was actually a whole host of various holiday themed cars you could unlock based on the internal date and time of the GameCube (I remember as a kid manipulating that) so there was one for Halloween, Thanksgiving, New Years, and maybe even St. Patrick's Day

Though I played Hit & Run at many friends’ houses, this was the Simpsons game I actually owned, so I’m far more familiar with it. That grind towards $1, 000, 000 feels much longer when you’re younger… I pretty quickly zeroed in on using Bart on Springfield Dam, then Frink once I realised he was better. Probably not the best arena, in hindsight. A lot of fond memories of it, even if the janky controls could be very frustrating at times.

Also, I heard that one reason for a power/graphical downgrade was that the devs didn’t realise until late into development that their dev kits were more powerful then the actual retail consoles, so some late performance compromise had to be done. Never heard Matt Groening insisted on a more 3D look…!

Watched this video with my friends last night. It's incredible how much personality this game has. The driver selection screen where they all roll up in their different vehicles almost crashing into the screen, I've never seen another game like it. You don't get that kind of love anymore.

The hidden character was essentially holiday themed characters. I remember there was a New Year's version of Krusty

Simpson nerd moment: the mascot is actually Capital City's mascot, not Springfield's. :)
As for the game itself, by the time I could play it, I had already played Hit & Run, so Road Rage really felt like a beta version of H&R.

Christmas Apu
New Years Krusty

Honestly I love road rage more than hit and run. I wish someone would mod this game to have all sections playable at once as intended. This, hit and run and super Mario sunshine I really wish would get modded to have the entire world open as intended

I remember visiting my cousin for the weekend, and renting road rage, it was a great time. Always had fond memories of this game.
