Actually, it wasn't an outright 'denial.'  You have to read EXACTLY what Facebook said in all those statements.  In the quotes you provided, they always said that they "see no evidence..."  That's not an "insistent denial."  That's a carefully worded, Legalese evasion.

the thing is, I feel like anyone that knows about Freud's work has been saying this for a loooong time. So many Freudian slips in every speech during the campaign whenever Russia is brought up by Trump himself, or others.

The Mercer family used Cambridge Analytica to target specific geographic and demographic targets based on metadata collected from FB. Breitbart also helped. This is what allowed Trump to win and how his campaign functioned on little cash compared to Clinton. Jared Kushner gave them the metadata at that meeting compiled by Cambridge Analytica and paid hackers, including Guccifer to collect intel. Bannon was on CA board of directors and this entire operation was made possible by the Mercer family. He knew what to say, where to say it and bypassed any demo that already showed strong support. The used the data stolen from the DNC to identify potential targets and to also focus their campaign in those demos.
